Crop expert Zhu Chongzhen transmigrates to the late Ming dynasty. In three days, he will ascend the throne as the Chongzhen Emperor of history. In the imperial garden, he plants three test plots: hybrid rice, sweet potatoes, and sorghum.
Empress Zhou: “Your Majesty, what’s the point of growing sorghum?”
Emperor Zhu Chongzhen: “So the people can eat their fill, go hungry no more, and stop rebelling. Then I can lie flat, indulge in pleasure, and revive the Ming dynasty.”
Empress Zhou: “Your Majesty, does the sorghum field have any other uses?”
Zhu Chongzhen leads Empress Zhou into the sorghum field. “It does, Your Majesty. It’s dark now. We should get to work on producing an heir.”
