I was born in a scholarly family in Jinling. My father was a teacher at a famous school and my mother was a lady. In the winter of 1937, my parents risked their lives in the hands of the Japanese in order to return to Nanjing to visit their long-awaited relatives. From now on, I am left as a weak woman living alone in this world. I have had some inexplicable entanglements with the Japanese in my life.
