Crimson Floating City: The Warlord’s Last Stand

In the southern industrial city of Floating City in the 1990s, crime and opportunity intertwine amid steam and neon. Chen Xiao, a boy from the shantytowns, struggles like wild grass beneath the fists of his alcoholic father. After dropping out of school, he sinks into a mire of theft and brawling. During a street fight, he saves underworld boss Zhou Yongqiang, and from then on enters a world of blades and bloodshed. Rising from a low-level lackey to “Master Xiao,” who controls gray-market businesses including entertainment and logistics, he builds an underground empire with ruthlessness and cunning. But at the height of his power, he is besieged by the tide of law and order, internal divisions, and the dragnet of detective Zhao Zhigang. Looking back from the defendant’s seat, he sees a blood-soaked road stretching from the ramshackle shantytowns to his prison cell. Only then does he understand that the gears of fate had already marked his destruction the moment he saved Brother Qiang. This is a tragic underworld saga of wild grass growing unchecked, power corrupting, and an era crushing all in its path.
