I Snagged a Buddhist Monk as My Dao Companion

[Amnesia trope, marriage before love, revenge, both leads chaste, irreverent cultivation story, irreverent monk story, yandere black-lotus heroine, gentle white-lotus hero]

The heroine is delicate and frail but resourceful. She is both the hero’s moonlight in his heart and the cinnabar mark etched into it. She always holds the upper hand emotionally, but she has inner demons and emotional difficulties, and is rather detached when it comes to love.

The hero is less knowledgeable and strategic than the heroine, and is also at a disadvantage emotionally. Yet he is gentle and strong, kind and sincere, and capable of love. He can protect and accept her, and is willing to be used by her.

He said, “Buddhism and Taoism can be practiced together.”

She said, “You and I can practice together too.”

He said, “I must repay my karmic debt and help you become an immortal. I will never go back on my word, not even in death.”

She said, “There’s no need. I only want your primal yang, not your heart.”

The Moon Embracing Venerable of Idle Cloud Peak, the sect’s founding patriarch, loved wandering the world and abducting people.

After a failed tribulation, her spiritual roots were shattered, her cultivation lost, and her memories gone.

The little monk she had brought back had grown into a handsome, gentle man and had already formed a golden core.

To restore her spiritual roots, she needed to take his primal yang.

From then on, she used every manner of flirtation and seduction to tempt him into breaking his vows.

One was a female patriarch who cultivated the Heartless Dao; the other was a white-lotus Buddhist cultivator. Though both should have lived lives of abstinence, they indulged in pleasure night after night.

They were proper cultivation partners, yet they always seemed to be having an affair.

In the end, who had really seduced whom?

Though she was cold-hearted, why was every man she met more devoted than the last?
