Shui Mo: The Soul of Silent Words

[Serious drama / sweet and angsty / Shui-Mo fanfiction / happy ending]

A bittersweet push and pull + the barrier between human and immortal + obsessive love

Setting: Shui-Mo fanfiction with original elements that do not fully match the Ye Luoli worldbuilding

Blurb 1: The pink-clad girl leaned against the wall, gazing quietly at the many colors outside the window. “Without you among all the colors in this world, all that remains is a pale, empty white.” Her heart seemed shrouded in mist, hazy and heavy. The story of the future had yet to be written, but the affections of the past had to be left behind.

Blurb 2: The still surface of the lake reflected the dark shadows of trees. Chilly moonlight fell across every patch of ground the girl ran over. Where the moonlight faded lay the darkness she dared not face. “Human girl, come back.” He waved a hand, his eyes cold. Threads of water pierced the air and coiled around Wang Mo like snakes, stopping her in her tracks.

Blurb 3: A figure wore a hooded robe, its subtle patterns appearing and disappearing like ancient incantations steeped in a thousand years of time. Every fold and every line concealed a past unknown to others. He walked softly to the bedside and gently caressed the girl's rosy cheek. Even the mask could not hide the affection in his eyes. “You are determined to leave, but I cannot let you go. Keeping you imprisoned here may be the best solution.”
