In the year 4202 of the Chao calendar, after sunset began coming later, Qilin Buyu, a lamplighter in Chang'an, suddenly became aware of the existence of [Rules]. These [Rules] constrained people's thoughts, making them take it for granted that they should focus on countermeasures and ignore the reasons behind things.
At the same time, on the edge of the irradiated lands, Qilin Buyu encountered a frontier beast named Ming Xuan that had mutated into human form.
To uncover the meaning behind the existence of the [Rules], Qilin Buyu and his companions set off on a journey to find the oracle.
Don't think too hard.
Don't dig too deep.
As long as you ignore it,
it can be made to not exist.
One-on-one, emphatically a happy ending.
[Light sci-fi / Chinese cyberpunk / road novel / nontraditional master-disciple relationship / older protagonist]
(Seme) Qilin Buyu: beautiful, strong, and tragic / perpetually aloof with intermittent bouts of madness / arrogant / poor with words
(Uke) Ming Xuan: lovesick little rat / loyal and devoted / two-faced / his master's number-one fan
❌Content warnings❌: seme-centric story / 29-year age gap (in the future, people live an average of 200 years) / the seme is clueless about romance / restrained and understated
Like! Nice! Recommended to watch!
