A Daydream Romance

Secret love is a one-person tide, youth is a blank space that will never be perfect The most touching thing about "Fantasy Love" is never the vigorous confession and consummation, but the secrecy, restraint, panic and self-stretching of one-way secret love, which is written so realistically that it is bone-chilling. It does not write about sweet pets or counterattacks, but only about the truest youth of an ordinary girl - the heartbeat hidden in the corner of the eye, the obsession buried in the heart, the tenderness that is close at hand but dare not touch, and the growth that cannot be obtained but has to move forward. Lin Zhaoyue's youth is a long one-man show. She gave all her heartbeat for the whole year to the distant and cold Ji Xiao. She waited for his figure in the morning mist, chased his footsteps in the dusk, waited for a rolling football in the darkness of the playground, and filled her diary with her thoughts that no one knew about. She looked up to him, chased him, regarded him as a high-hanging star, the only light on the way to repeat her studies. This kind of love is humble, silent, and unresponsive, but clean and sincere. It is like every one of us who had secretly moved our hearts when we were young - we can't love it, but we are willing to do so. The appearance of Chen Zhiyuan is not a replacement, but a redemption. He is not as dazzling and distant as Ji Xiao, but he is stable, gentle, and excellent in mathematics. He is the warmth that is within reach during the years of repeated studies. He would quietly talk about topics, silently hand over notes, and appear just in time when she was empty, filling her empty time with the clumsiest tenderness. Lin Zhaoyue's fear and struggle are the most heartbreaking: she is afraid that if she is greedy for the lights in front of her, she will forget the stars in the sky; she is afraid that if she shakes her obsession, she will let down her young self. But this struggle is exactly what growth looks like - we all once held an obsession and refused to let go, until we met someone who made us understand that the real light does not need to look up, but only needs to be side by side. There is no bloody conflict or deliberate sensationalism in the whole novel. It is filled with the regret and tenderness of youth with extremely delicate writing. Morning frost, evening wind, rainy night, sunset, desk, note, thermos cup, rolling football... Every image hides unspoken thoughts, and every detail accurately pokes the heart of the secret admirer. It writes thoroughly: The best secret love is never to disturb; the best growth is to reconcile with regret. Ji Xiao is the white moonlight of youth, distant, cold, and an unfinished reverie; Chen Zhiyuan is the light beside him, stable, warm, and a touchable companionship. In the end, Lin Zhaoyue did not catch up with the stars in the sky, but when she lowered her head and hurried on, she met her own light. This secret love without an answer, this youth without perfection, is precisely the most real youth - not all likes are responded to, not all obsessions can be fulfilled, but every heartbeat has illuminated the long years. "Fantasy Love" is not only about a secret love, but also about every ordinary girl's youth monologue. It allows us to see that the silence and throbbing hidden deep in our hearts, the loneliness and suffering we endure alone, and the regrets and relief we seek but cannot get are all not in vain. They will eventually turn into lines of growth, allowing us to learn to reconcile with ourselves, learn to cherish the warmth in front of us, and learn to let go of unattainable illusions over the long years. This is a reverie love that belongs to one person, and it is also a youth festival for all of us.
