Yu Banxia, daughter of the Eastern Depot's governor and the capital's number-one villainess, is arrogant, domineering, and utterly lawless.
After tying the Minister of War's son to a firework in broad daylight and "sending him flying," the emperor banished her to the Jingxin Convent to cultivate her character. Instead, she turned the Buddhist hall into a luxurious boudoir, laid the floor with gold bricks, and used pearls as marbles, driving the old nun to repeat "Amitabha" in exasperation.
Then she discovered a secret passage from the previous dynasty inside the convent, along with a mechanism blueprint capable of controlling the capital's waterways. She also stumbled upon Su Ziyu, son of the Vice Minister of Works, sneaking around to investigate his father's "accidental death."
Yu Banxia, rubbing her hands excitedly: "Looking for trouble? That's right up my alley!"
Su Ziyu, rubbing his forehead in frustration: "I'm here to investigate a case, not play with you..."
Yu Banxia, completely unapologetic: "It's your good fortune that I'm willing to help! But... it'll cost extra!"
And so...
She flaunted her wealth to lure the mastermind out of hiding, while bidding sky-high prices for useless antiques just to infuriate her rivals;
He desperately guarded the investigation budget, while also having to stop her from turning crucial evidence into jewelry and wearing it on her head.
The people of the capital, in despair: "Why is this villainess getting more outrageous the more she's punished?!"
Yu Banxia, grinning arrogantly: "Obviously! I was born to be utterly lawless!"
◆ A true villainess runs wild ◆ Political schemes turn into farce ◆ Money flows like water ◆ Puts every challenger in their place
It's a good read, the storyline is well written, I like the wisdom of the heroine, and the ending is good, short and concise, worth watching, recommended
