Betrayed by the Prince, the Maid Sets Off to Travel with Her New Love

Xu Nian'an, a modern-day food-loving young woman, was joining a crowd of people gossiping when another onlooker kicked her into a sewer. She unexpectedly transmigrated to the Great Sheng dynasty, into the body of a kitchen maid who had just been sold to a prince's manor and frightened to death. Now she must use her wits to fight for her freedom. Scene One Passerby A: “Miss Xu, since you're the Princess Consort, where's your betrothal goose? And the color of this wedding dress doesn't look quite right, either. Without a betrothal goose, even with a generous bride price, isn't this just the arrangement for a concubine?” Xu Nian'an: “Really? Just you wait!” Outside Prince Xiao's manor: “I, Xu Nian'an, would rather be a poor man's wife than a rich man's concubine! Everyone here, bear witness: from this day on, I have nothing to do with Prince Xiao's manor.” As she spoke, she hacked the wedding dress to shreds. Scene Two Su Mingyun: “Just look at that temper of yours! It's outrageous!” Xu Nian'an: “My temper depends on the person. Whatever kind of person you are, that's the kind of attitude you'll get from me.” Furious, Su Mingyun ran up the steps. “Just you wait until I marry you and teach you a lesson!” Xu Nian'an: “Aren't you and Prince Xiao brothers?” Su Mingyun: “We are! As the saying goes, brothers are like limbs, women are like clothes. You've seen people walking down the street with missing arms and legs, but have you ever seen anyone running around naked?”
