It tells the story of the love-hate entanglement between a generation of war-god general (Luo Siam) and an enemy country's concubine princess (Duan Pingping) in troubled times, the righteousness of family and country, and deep sadomasochism. The general sent the princess to a dead end because of a misunderstanding. In the end, he was heartbroken after losing her, but it was too late. The novel is famous for its grand war scenes, complex character emotions and extreme sadism.
