Throne of Corpses

[Coming-of-Age Protagonist] [Plot-Focused] [Apocalypse Virus] [Zombies] [Physical Evolution] [Scavenging Supplies] [Building an Army] [Establishing a New Order] [Becoming King in the Apocalypse]

The apocalypse arrived. Zombies ran rampant, and the world became a rotting hellscape. Li Zhe was once swallowed by a tidal wave of corpses in the depths of despair, experiencing the ultimate agony of his flesh being torn away. Yet death was not the end, but the beginning of his transformation. He returned from the deepest pit of corpses and took his place atop a throne forged from bone and blood. At his feet knelt the very endless horde of zombies that had once devoured him.

The end of evolution is not destruction. Li Zhe lowered his eyes and sneered, his voice colder than ice. It is absolute dominion.

When the last human survivors trembled and begged for the spark of life to endure, he merely raised a fingertip and awakened the zombie tide stretching for thousands of miles.

"Begging me? First learn to kneel before the new king."
