Lord: Eldritch Agriculture in Another World

Lorne is born into the body of an earl's illegitimate son, but during the transmigration, his soul is torn apart by both the whispers of Cthulhu and the power of the Abyss.

To preserve his sanity, he is forced to wear the mask of an "innate imbecile" for ten years, drooling as he silently observes the disdain and scheming of the royal capital.

After a decade of playing the fool, he is finally discarded as a pawn, chained up and sent to the kingdom's most perilous frontier: Blackthorn Keep.

The royal capital's orders are clear: Feed the idiot to the monsters. That will be serving the kingdom!

His domain? Five veteran orcs and one gray elf stowaway make up his entire "population."

At the brink of despair, the Hand of All Things' Growth awakens with a roar!

A barren wasteland? No, this is the ultimate soil, nourished by both Cthulhu and the Abyss!

Irrigate it with the power of the Abyss! Sow it with knowledge from the Old Ones!

Madly mutated magical crops fill the orcs' bellies and nourish the elves' trees. They even draw dwarven runes and siren songs... Barren Blackthorn becomes the only haven for exiles, heretics, and hybrid monsters!

Yet wherever the farmland spreads, its roots reach deeper into the Abyss, and the whispers follow close behind.

The elves' Mother Tree mutates into the [Tree of the Old Ones], and the slumbering Elven Queen, forced into marriage, gradually comes to accept her fate. A church paladin sent to spy on him is corrupted instead and survives through their psychic link. An orc chieftain swings her battle-axe for the grain stores, her mockery turning into protectiveness...

When the kingdom's allied armies march on the keep, branding him a "heretic," and the followers of an evil god covet his twisted harvest, Lorne strokes an ear of wheat drawing power from the Abyss and whispers to his strange-looking "allies" and "companions":

"They want to destroy my farm? Good... Then let's show these 'fertilizers' what the ultimate harvest of 'Cthulhu-style agriculture' looks like!"
