[Calculating rose who schemes her way to the top, stunningly beautiful, sweet-tongued and ruthless. She always puts herself first, and men are just tools]
[Insane CEO Gu, who rules both the underworld and the legitimate world and shows no mercy, is nevertheless willing to be her devoted servant]

The day Chu Lichu learned that her younger sister, Chu Mucheng, had a crush on Gu Tingzhou, she began plotting to steal her brother-in-law-to-be.
Her family favored her younger sister so much that anything her sister loved was something Chu Li had to get her hands on.
Two years ago, Gu Tingzhou was gravely injured and admitted to the ICU after saving Chu Li in a car accident.
When she learned he would become a vegetable, Chu Li said she would come see him that night, then disappeared without a trace.
Two years later, Chu Li heard that Chu Mucheng was about to get engaged to Gu Tingzhou and immediately returned to the country. She caught Gu Tingzhou by the wrist and pressed her fingertips to her chest. "Brother Tingzhou, right here... I've been thinking of you all along."
In truth, Chu Li hadn't been idle for a single moment over those two years.
Everyone knows that beautiful women are never short of admirers.
Chu Li wasn't a flirt. She simply spread her affection around evenly because she didn't want to break any handsome men's hearts.

When Gu Tingzhou woke up, he learned from others that Chu Li had betrayed him.
His heart filled with hatred, and he swore in a fit of madness that he would tear her apart.
But when he chased her overseas, he saw her at an art exhibition with her arms around a handsome man, wearing a bright smile he had never seen before.
He returned home dejected, and a plan took root in his mind.
Beautiful women are always coveted by others, he told himself to feel better.
If he couldn't win her by force, then he would outsmart her.
He knew what she cared about most, so he knew exactly how to set a trap that would force her to show herself.
