Midsummer Starlight, A Regret in the End

Summer Starshine, Forever a Regret tells the tragic love story of Su Qiao and Jiang Cai, from their first meeting and falling in love to being parted by death.

Their story begins in midsummer, when Su Qiao and Jiang Cai meet on a plane-tree-lined avenue. Their feelings deepen in the library, in a downpour, on New Year's Eve, and in many other settings. They share countless romantic, beautiful moments, from vows beneath the stars while camping to hot cocoa on the night of the first snow. But fate soon takes a cruel turn. Su Qiao is diagnosed with an illness, and her memory begins to fail. A shadow gradually falls over her life with Jiang Cai. He does everything he can to protect her and bring back her memories, but her condition keeps worsening. She forgets him more and more, and even does things that hurt their relationship. In the end, Su Qiao's illness takes her life, leaving Jiang Cai alone with his memories and regrets. Their once-beautiful promises turn to nothing, a heartbreaking loss.
