The Republic of China was a special period. It overthrew the rule of feudal emperors for more than two thousand years, ended the semi-colonial situation, established the Republic of China, and began the journey of modernization. In order to unify the country and safeguard national sovereignty and dignity, continuous exploration has been made in promoting new culture and introducing and absorbing democratic and scientific concepts. In the later period, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party had many disputes and cooperation in the aspects of state structure, system, doctrine, etc. Finally, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party ended this special period with armed struggle.
