[An alternate setting based on the An Lushan Rebellion]
She was born amid the final flames of the Kaiyuan Golden Age, and a prophecy said she would not live to see twenty.
Though the emperor’s youngest daughter, she broke free of her gilded cage and, under the name “Little Medical Immortal,” treated the sick and helped those in need, kindling a faint light amid a fractured land.
Her compassion could save soldiers and comfort displaced people, but it could not cure her own chronic illness, nor spare her from the cold calculations of her father and brothers, wielders of power.
When news of victory at Yecheng tore through the long night, the flames of war began to die out and the dawn of peace appeared on the horizon
Nineteen-year-old Princess Yong’an, Li Yan, breathed her last amid the city’s cheers.
She spent her life saving others, only to become the most tragic sacrifice before the dawn of a golden age.
Born in the fires of war, she healed the world; she died in peacetime, but her compassion never faded.
What she wanted to see all her life was never the brilliant blossoms along Chang’an’s roads, but the new shoots growing from the ashes after the city had burned.
The writing is good, the characters are full-bodied (more group portraits), and the narrative is straightforward and logical (which can also be said to be an advantage, maybe because I like to make mysteries in the books I read before). Although not many people have read it, it is still a good book. It's not finished yet but I guess this should be considered a short story (maybe a medium-length), which is suitable for people like me who don't have enough patience. The background of the Anshi Rebellion in the last years of Kaiyuan is also a plus. The decline of the Tang Dynasty is very sad. My favorite dynasty is the prosperous Tang Dynasty (♡ ὅ ◡ ὅ )ʃ♡ Come on, author, you will succeed based on my experience in reading books.
The author's writing is very good and made me shed a lot of tears. I don't like writing book reviews very much, but the books I have written reviews on are all very good ones that I particularly like to write, and this one is one of them. There is also the final ending of the book. Hongying died in that war, but is General Pei still alive?
Very beautiful, but too cruel!
Wonderful. Go watch it. It's very interesting. The plot (^ノ~YO
