The play takes Chu culture as a clue and tells the story of Yu Xiang, an inheritor of the Hubei fish banquet who is about to decline. Due to an accident, he travels to the kitchen of the palace of the King of Chu. By selecting exquisite bronze cookware, fresh fish from rivers and lakes, and using unique secrets to cook fish dishes, he meets the princess of Chu and gradually reveals the secret behind a luxurious banquet in the Chu palace.
