Tang Xiaoman is restoring cultural relics on a livestream when her trembling hands drop and shatter a Qianlong vase. The entire internet brands her a "national treasure killer."
A Dunhuang package from her missing grandmother leads her to touch a bloodstained earring. In an instant, a dying vision of a late Tang embroiderer being murdered floods her mind, drenched in the stench of blood!
The echo of "Protect the Thousand-Buddha Stele!" has barely faded when the international smuggling ring known as the "Ouroboros" blocks her door with guns: "Hand over the Star Pattern Embroidery Manual, or your grandma will be buried in the quicksand along with Dunhuang!"
To uncover the truth, she ventures into the underground chambers of the Mogao Caves.
A guardian of the caves in his seventies lights a human barricade to stop the bullets: "As long as the lamp in our hearts burns, Dunhuang will never fall!"
Meanwhile, behind her, a million viewers in the livestream are flooding the chat:
"What are those bloody characters floating behind the streamer? The special effects look so real!"
