Siheyuan: He Yuzhu Refuses to Be a Doormat

In 1952, carrying memories of his previous life, He Yuzhu returns to the courtyard house he lived in at sixteen, just as He Daqing demands that he hand over his wages.

He paid up before, but why should he now?

The Jia family can’t get enough to eat and is short on grain? What’s that got to do with him?

Yi Zhonghai needs someone to look after him in his old age? What’s that got to do with him?

And that old lady in the back courtyard, who are you? Who’s your grandson?

Back at sixteen, He Yuzhu is no longer the puppet and tool they can push around, the Silly Zhu they used to take advantage of.
