A Mysterious Fanfic: Becoming a God at the Altar of Misfortune

When Amanisis opens her eyes at the Altar of Misfortune, the Demon Wolf King’s fangs are already poised at her throat.

The future reflected in the viscous pool of blood: the God of War’s golden armor shattering, the gray fog of Sefirah Castle surging, and a figure in a top hat whispering at the end of time and space.

Forced onto a thorny path of blasphemy, she must:

Use a reverse-sacrifice ritual to corrupt a demon wolf cub, only for her left eye to mutate into an owl’s slit pupil that can glimpse the Outer Gods.

Sign an Ouroboros contract with Lilith, progenitor of the Blood Race, turning the dew on her hair into a channel for the Mother Goddess’s corruption.

Fish a human nature hourglass from the River of Eternal Darkness, with the remnants of her past life sealed in its upper half and her followers’ fear piling up in its lower half.

And on her bronze pocket watch is engraved the final warning:

“This face points toward the end. The loop is complete: you are both the cause of the god’s death and the fruit of a new god.”

When the horn of the Twilight of the Gods sounds ahead of time, she stands atop the darkened Heavenly Kingdom and swings her scythe.

What will she cut down: the God of War’s head, or her own crumbling humanity?
