This is my first attempt at writing an online novel. If there are any shortcomings in my writing, I hope you will tolerate it. My story is inspired by the movie "A Chinese Ghost Story" and the original Liaozhai novel, and revolves around the three core characters Ning Caichen, Nie Xiaoqian, and Yan Chixia. In my eyes, they are all representatives of integrity, kindness and bravery, but with a new interpretation: Ning Caichen is still a kind and poor scholar. The encounter with Nie Xiaoqian stems from each other's beauty, kindness and mutual affirmation. The two of them risked their lives to protect each other regardless of danger. I once thought, if Ning Caichen had never fallen in love with Xiaoqian, would he still help her? If Ning Caichen had no feelings for Xiaoqian at first, would she be cruel? The biggest rewrite is Yan Chixia - he is no longer a bearded man, but the eldest brother of the same generation as Ning Caichen. Without Ning Caichen, would he help Xiaoqian? I will bring different Caichen, Yan Daxia and Xiaoqian.
