Crossing the Green River with a Lantern

I transmigrated into an ancient age of chaos, in a world with no myths of the underworld. The lantern I carried with me could actually absorb ghosts.

After witnessing villagers sacrifice a young woman alive to pray for peace, I used my lantern to subdue a vengeful ghost and was hailed as a god.

At the mass grave, I laid countless tormented spirits to rest and established order;

In a ruined temple, I enlightened lonely ghosts and spirits, turning them into the first generation of ghost constables.

When the powerful of the human world colluded with evil spirits to wreak havoc, my lantern revealed their mountain of crimes.
