The Twin Blossoms of the Mind

Who is the victim? And who is the perpetrator?

Hong Kong's graduation season arrived as expected. Chen Xinling stood at a crossroads in her life when a job offer she had counted on suddenly fell through. The shackles of her family of origin held her fast, while a love that had left a lasting mark on her in her youth began to crack under the crushing weight of reality.

Fate was like a kaleidoscope turning over and over, its light and shadows shifting from bright to dim. Trauma passed from one generation to the next, and perpetrators had once been victims trapped in the mire themselves. As old grievances and long-buried truths surfaced one after another, she was forced to face the pain running through her bloodline.

Some regrets cannot be undone, and those who are lost do not always return. But after passing through layer upon layer of fog, she would learn to live with her scars and reclaim the strength within herself.

This is a story about trauma, struggle, and healing.
