The story takes place in a world where a modern city intertwines with a mysterious spirit realm. Five hundred years ago, the ancient Water God Gonggong lost his bid for the throne to Zhuanxu. In his fury, he rammed into Mount Buzhou, causing the sky to tilt northwest and the earth to sink southeast. To mend the heavens and earth, Yu the Great was ordered to tame the floods. By the banks of the Luo River, the Nine Heavens Fairy bestowed upon him the Book of the Azure Satchel and Heavenly Yi, and he established the Five Veins system: the Heaven Vein, Earth Vein, Dragon Vein, Water Vein, and Qi Vein, to safeguard the world. Today, the Five Veins system is gradually falling out of balance. Turbid energy is leaking from the Earth Vein, triggering all kinds of supernatural events. Li Kuizhao, a feng shui master of the modern age, shoulders the mission of restoring the Earth Vein, while Cai Lanfang is the bearer of the Water Vein's spiritual power. The two meet by chance and join forces to uncover the ancient secrets hidden in the modern city.
