The male lead, Lin Yuan, is reborn on his first day as a game designer for the 2015 side-scrolling fighting game Awakened Fist. In his previous life, he took the blame for a data leak that led to the game's shutdown. After being reborn, he activates the "Fighting Game Skills Made Real System," which can turn game skills such as combos and special moves into real-world combat abilities. Around the same time, he meets the reborn female lead, Su Wanqing, a former sanda athlete who was falsely accused and forced to retire in her previous life. Both gain the ability to make skills real, and together they use their game skills to resolve real-world crises: face-slapping their former enemies, preventing a data leak, and confronting a mysterious organization. As they grow stronger in both the game and reality, they uncover the truth that "the game is a proving ground for reality." In the end, they become legendary fighters and put an end to the mysterious organization's control.
