Xiao Jin, raised in the blood pools of the Imperial Prison, has the blood moon of the massacre that destroyed his family sealed in his left eye. He roams the martial world under the name "Prison Judge," and evildoers wail beneath his sword, yet no one knows he is a wanted criminal pursued by the imperial court. Within the court, the chancellor secretly plots, casting fragments of the truth behind the massacre into the whirlpool of the martial world. When Xiao Jin finally points his sword at his enemy, he finds the man kneeling at the place where bones were buried all those years ago.
"You won," his enemy says, lifting bloodstained snow. "But beyond the truth lies an even greater inferno."
Xiao Jin snaps the tip of his sword and drives it into his own palm. "On this road through hell, I alone will pass judgment on everyone."
Years later, a one-eyed storyteller appears in a remote border town, with the daughter of his former enemy nestled at his side. After every tale of blood debts in the martial world, he always says softly, "The one who judges others is ultimately imprisoned by his own heart."
