Against the Current: Changing My Fate in the World of In the Name of the People

An accident sends Chen Ming, an ordinary young man, transmigrating into the world of the TV series In the Name of the People, a show he once knew inside out. Looking at the treacherous political landscape of Handong and thinking of Qi Tongwei's tragic end, when he shoots himself, and Gao Yuliang's lamentable fall from grace, Chen Ming realizes that the wheels of history are rolling toward a tragedy already set in motion.

With his foreknowledge of the plot, Chen Ming resolves to intervene at crucial moments. On the eve of Liang Qunfeng's plan to send Qi Tongwei down to a rural township, Chen Ming steps in in an unexpected way, not only defusing Qi Tongwei's crisis but also planting the seeds of righteousness in his heart. When Zhao Ruilong deploys his “honey trap” to win Gao Yuliang over, Chen Ming once again arranges things cleverly, helping Gao Yuliang see through the trap and preserve his good name and political future.

From then on, the political landscape of Handong quietly begins to change. Qi Tongwei no longer scrambles for power, putting his talents to work serving the people instead. Gao Yuliang stands by his principles and becomes a voice of integrity. Under Chen Ming's influence, the figures who were once destined for tragedy all avoid the wrong turns fate had laid out for them. This is a story of redemption, choice, and change. Chen Ming not only changes the fates of others, but also finds his own purpose in this world. In the end, Handong reaches the “best ending,” where everyone finds their way into the light.
