[Imperial court/immortal sects + male lead’s perspective + mutual salvation + teacher-disciple romance + younger man + equally strong leads + mutual secret love, both untouched + sweet and angsty + ensemble cast]
Staring at everything unfamiliar before him, Yan Qinghan is utterly bewildered. Wasn’t he here to save someone? How did he wake up as the crown prince of the current dynasty?
He sets out on an apparently endless quest to clear the clouds and see the sun. But the closer he gets to the truth (after a hundred chapters), the more something feels off to Yan Qinghan:
Isn’t this a world where the gods reign supreme? So why are all seven gods revolving around him?
Netherworld Emperor, Di Ting: “You don’t have to kneel to me. Speak to me the way you speak to everyone else. Do I really need to teach you for a fourth time?”
Demon Emperor, White Tiger: “Everyone thinks I’m a cold-blooded mad emperor, but you’re not afraid at all… Heh, just say it. What do you need me to help you with this time?”
Sovereign Lord, Azure Dragon: “Just as I thought. You’re not planning to do anything treasonous, and you weren’t going to tell me in advance, were you?”
Demon God, Vermilion Bird: “Don’t forget, this is my territory. You dare act so insolently in front of me? Do you want to lose your tongues?”
Ghost King, Black Tortoise: “Thanking me would only make things awkward. It’s nothing. Of course I’d help when you ask.”
Heaven’s Will, Phoenix: “Hehehe, have a good time outside, little pet. Remember to come home early when you get tired of playing.”
“You seven gods are really strange. You indulge him to an absurd degree.”
The entire Cangxuan Realm lets him do as he pleases. Even if the sky falls, someone will catch it. Even Yan Qinghan thinks they’re going too far.
“But aren’t there seven gods? Who’s the other one?”
The gods fall silent: “…Guess for yourself.”
The writing style is a bit immature, but for a newcomer it's pretty good. Of course, there's still a lot of room for improvement.
