Heaven-Sent Might

While campaigning in the remote mountains of the northwest, a general found a newborn boy whose umbilical cord had not yet been cut. The general, already past forty and childless for half his life, was overjoyed. He drew his sword, cut off a corner of his blood-soaked battle robe, wrapped the baby in it, and ordered his guards to hurry him back to his hometown to be raised by the First Lady. He named the child Tian Ci, meaning “Heaven-Sent.”
