"Sipu Family Banquet" takes Sipu County, a small town in southwest China, as a microcosm. It tells the story of the ups and downs of two generations, the old revolutionary Huang Baoguo, the retired military officer Huang Weiguo, the businessman Huang Weimin, and the disciplinary inspection cadre Huang Fanghua, in the wave of reform and opening up. A steaming pot of braised pork connects family banquets, weddings, business wars and moments of crisis, witnessing the inheritance of the Huang family's belief that "if you are poor, you can be alone, and if you are prosperous, you can help the world". When the neon lights of the development zone illuminate the dark corners of rent-seeking power, when the reservoir dam stands in the face of life and death, and when the private enterprise bill breaks the shackles of entrepreneurs, the three brothers and sisters use their hard work, courage and integrity to write a hot footnote for the fission of the times in an era when money and ideals collide - the true foundation is always deeply rooted in the warmth of soil, conscience and home.
