A Hunter's Legend in the 1950S

Modern special forces king Qin Tiezhu dies while carrying out a mission, only to have his soul transmigrate into the body of a rural boy named Qin Tiezhu in 1950. He faces a desperately poor family and starving villagers. Using the special forces skills from his past life, Qin Tiezhu makes simple traps to catch wild rabbits, improving his family's meals and leaving the villagers amazed and suspicious. He becomes the apprentice of old hunter Zhao Dashan, learning traditional hunting techniques while incorporating modern tactical thinking until he becomes the village's finest hunter. Through hunting and fishing, Qin Tiezhu's family goes from the poorest in the village to one that can eat its fill, catching the attention and admiration of village chief's daughter Zhou Xiaolan. Qin Tiezhu's success draws the jealousy of village bully Liu Ergou's family. They secretly sabotage his hunting gear, setting the stage for conflict. A severe drought in 1951 ruins the crops and threatens the entire village with famine. Qin Tiezhu steps up and leads the villagers into the mountains to hunt, helping them survive the crisis.
