Ming Dynasty Criminal Code. Also known as "Ming Da Gao", it was written by Zhu Yuanzhang himself. It is divided into three parts: "Da Gao", "Da Gao Sequel" and "Da Gao 3 Parts".
There are 74 articles in the "Da Gao", which was promulgated in 1385; there are 87 articles in the "Continuation of the Da Gao", which was published in 1386; and there are 43 articles in the "Three Parts of the Da Gao", which were promulgated in 1386.
"Da Gao" mostly punishes corrupt officials and powerful people who harm the people. It records that hundreds of people were executed by Ling Chi, Xiaoshou, and clansmen, and tens of thousands were killed by those who abandoned the market.
According to the regulations of Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, each household should have one copy of "Da Gao", and even the title of "Da Gao" was used in school lectures and imperial examinations.
