They are the incarnation and model of Confucian ethics. Although the plot of the whole book is mainly about love, it never involves obscene words and deeds. The language has gradually become sophisticated and standardized, achieving the unity of "elegance" and "vulgarity", reflecting the elegant and implicit aesthetics unique to Eastern culture.
