Great Tang: Comparing the Two Crown Princes, the Second Phoenix Weeps

In the fifteenth year of the Zhenguan era, Emperor Taizong of the Tang dynasty, Li Shimin, is nearly driven mad by Crown Prince Li Chengqian’s increasingly erratic behavior, and is on the verge of replacing him.

Just then, a heavenly miracle appears. Two Haotian Mirrors hang high above Chang’an, revealing two parallel timelines and two utterly different versions of Li Chengqian!

And so begins history’s most heart-wrenching and astonishing “comparison livestream”!

In the left mirror, “Crown Prince Li” Li Chengqian indulges petty men and imitates the customs of the Hu peoples. In the end, he raises an army in rebellion, is defeated and captured, then dies miserably in exile, bringing about the Wu Zhou dynasty’s replacement of the Tang and the end of its rule!

At this sight, Li Shimin, the emperor hailed through the ages, bursts into tears in front of his entire court for the first time!

In the right mirror, “Sage Ancestor” Li Chengqian devises a strategy for the Xuanwu Gate crisis at the age of eight, resolving a lifelong torment for “Second Phoenix” with a single remark.

At ten, he debates the assembled ministers, lays plans for the realm, introduces movable-type printing, breaks the great clans’ monopoly, and proposes a veterans’ home, winning the hearts of the military!

When a perfect “other people’s child” begins teaching online, the most prestigious academy in history, the Haotian Mirror Academy, is established.

Li Shimin: “What are you crying for? Copy it all down! Every word from the Sage Ancestor is sound statecraft and the cure for my son!”

Fang Xuanling and Li Jing: “Your Majesty is wise! We’ll see to it at once!”

The Li Chengqian of the present: “Please… stop copying! If you keep this up, you’ll force me to become a sage ruler!”
