Ruan Qing was once the beloved darling of the Chinese entertainment industry, but after being framed, she fell from grace. Now, in a web series, a newcomer slaps her across the face.
Her longtime nemesis Su Man puts on a false show of concern: “Sister Ruan Qing, if you’re washed up, stop trying so hard~”
Just as she hits rock bottom, Shen Mo, a three-time Best Actor winner, makes a dramatic entrance with the script for Phoenix Cry: “You’re the only one who can play the leading lady!”
Ruan Qing laughs coldly and refuses, but he throws an astronomical contract at her: “Sign it, or should I give the role to Su Man?”
He corners her at every turn: demanding training, an enormous debt, and scandals dogging her every step... He keeps her trapped in the palm of his hand.
She meets every move with one of her own: outshining everyone with her acting, turning the contract against him, and reclaiming her public image... She uses her talent to face-slap the whole world!
