Whose Love Fell Into the Dust?

Childhood friend vs. newcomer: one is brash, the other is cunning. The newcomer tugs at his right arm. “Yutou, if I could, I’d pluck the stars and moon from the sky for you. Nothing in the world, no matter how beautiful, compares to you...” The childhood friend tugs at his left arm. “I was here first. My darling Yutou, I love you.” He places Haiyu’s hand over his heart. “Listen...” Thump, thump, thump. His heart pounds wildly. “It beats for you...” The rain that night and a boy’s stubbornness brought them together in the vast sea of people. You ask what fate is. Fate is that they became not only neighbors, but classmates too. Countless threads called fate wound tightly around them... Fate is spending their carefree childhood together, then making their way through the bright, heady years of youth side by side. They traveled to the ends of the world together and saw all its splendor, yet their passion never faded... A young heart’s first stirrings are a steadfastness hidden in the dark, an unabashed partiality, a love never spoken aloud. It isn’t possessive, overwhelming, or extreme. It’s found in all the little moments of ordinary days... Having crossed countless green hills, the traveler is not yet old. Returning home, he is still a young man. Youthful days will eventually pass, but the love you felt when you were young never will... If there’s someone from your younger days whom you still hold dear, then congratulations: you’re very lucky...
