A Thousand-Mile Match Tied by Fate, and You Say It Has Nothing to Do with Me?

"Three, two, one..." Liu Xinzhou finished counting down. Suddenly, Wang Mengmeng's expression changed. She froze in place and said slowly, in an old-fashioned voice, "Your Highness... I..." Liu Xinzhou: "???" Wang Mengmeng continued, her voice full of feeling: "I never thought I would see Your Highness again in this life..." Liu Xinzhou: "..." (Thinking: What the heck? Did my best friend transmigrate?) Even worse, Wang Mengmeng suddenly rushed over and hugged her. "Your Highness! I've missed you so much!" Liu Xinzhou: "Help! Can someone get this lunatic off me?!" Xiaobao helplessly reminded her in her mind, "Bestie, [Past Lives, Present Lives] only works if the two people connected by the red string start with no affection for each other. You can't just use it on anybody." Liu Xinzhou pressed her forehead. "I knew it!" She turned to her still-performing best friend. "Mengmeng! Wake up! You've got the wrong person!" Wang Mengmeng snapped back to her senses, looking confused. "Huh? What was I... saying just now?"
