The disciplinary notice board outside the dean’s office has become a dedicated exhibit for these six troublemakers.
“Can you go just one day without causing trouble?” their homeroom teacher demands, on the verge of a breakdown for the umpteenth time. Five of them point in unison toward the window. An inflatable dinosaur is stuck on the basketball hoop, while the culprit, Ke Wei, is trying to poke it down with a mop.
This self-proclaimed “film company” consists of a student council president who can bend school rules into all sorts of shapes; a dance club star who wins over the whole school with desserts; a science whiz who gets perfect grades but can’t manage everyday life; a class clown who turns morning assembly into a stand-up show; a discipline monitor who’s serious in public but loves gossip in private; and poor, unlucky Ke Wei, who always gets stuck taking the blame.
“We’re building team spirit!” the six insist, blithely ignoring the chemistry lab smoking behind them. The principal is already considering creating a special “Trouble Management” class just for them. After all, the whole school couldn’t find another group capable of turning a fire drill into a dinosaur escape story.
