Journey to the West: I Reincarnate as an Egg and Get Picked Up by a Holy Monk from the Start!

[Mind Reading, Nurturing, Redemption, Mutual Devotion, Sweet Romance, Journey to the West, Twists, Turning the Tables]

Do you think Journey to the West is about vanquishing demons, enduring the Eighty-One Tribulations, obtaining the scriptures, and saving all living beings?

No. That was just a colossal lie that deceived the Three Realms!

Xuanzang was once the most devout believer in that lie. Compassionate at heart, he journeyed west step by step, convinced he bore a supreme mission.

Until he found that egg: Lin Youyou.

She was no ordinary creature, but a “Primordial Merit Egg,” a material chosen by the Heavenly Dao to repair the world, the ultimate “sacrifice” in this grand Western pilgrimage scam!

The so-called quest for the “Great Vehicle Buddhist Dharma” was nothing more than an escort mission to deliver the sacrifice to Spirit Mountain and complete the ritual.

Over fourteen years together, she watched him grow from an innocent holy monk into a peerless strategist and team leader.

And he watched her transform from a cold stone egg, gradually gaining a sheen, developing cracks, and taking on the breath of life.

His faith crumbled bit by bit. Behind Buddhism's compassion lay cold calculation and sacrifice.

When they reached the summit of Spirit Mountain and the Buddha demanded, in a solemn decree, the “Dao Fruit” Xuanzang had protected with his life all along the way, Xuanzang hurled down his Nine-Ringed Monk's Staff and tore off his Brocade Kasaya.

He turned and shielded the trembling girl behind him, facing the Buddha's solemn countenance with a laugh both desolate and mad.

He once journeyed west for all living beings. Now he would fight for one person alone, defying every god and Buddha in the heavens and making an enemy of the Three Realms!

“If becoming a Buddha means losing her, then I refuse to become one!”
