Conquering an S-Rank Psycho in the Horror World, Are You Crazy?

[Core mission activated: Win over target character ‘Shen Yi.’ Current affection: 0.]

“Win him over?!”

“In this damn place, surrounded by rotting corpses, blood and violence, where living people come in and turn into corpses?! You expect me to fall in love with a monster standing atop a pile of dead bodies, with a danger rating through the roof?!”

“System!”

Chen Ling practically screams with all his might, every word sounding like bloody spit forced through clenched teeth.

“What the hell is wrong with you?! Wouldn’t it be easier to just kill me?! Huh?!”

I died in an utterly ordinary car accident.

When I opened my eyes again, a cold mechanical voice boomed in my mind: “Welcome to the Corpse Mound Corridor. Those who fail to clear it will be trapped here forever.”

Before me stretched an endless expanse of ruined burial mounds and mountains of rotting corpses. Blood poured from the sky, while maggots and severed limbs churned in the mire.

The System issued the first survival mission: “Find the only clean thing in the blood rain. He is your key to clearing the game.”

[Friendly reminder: This is a short-to-medium-length story. It won’t be too long, and will most likely wrap up after a few hundred thousand words.]
