"The world burns to ash, but I'm afraid of no frying pan!" Lin Xia, an overworked office drone, unexpectedly transmigrates to a wasteland world overrun by zombies, where all the food has gone rotten. Just as it looks like she's doomed from the start, she binds to the "Healing Light Gourmet System"! A cozy food truck instantly becomes her fortress. When the mouthwatering aroma of egg fried rice first drifts through the desperate shelter, it draws in gaunt survivors. "Boss, is this... for sale?" Lin Xia nervously hands over a lunch box. "I-is it all-you-can-eat?"
And so, scavenger squads feared by all line up just to slurp down a bowl of noodles; a cold, powerful mutant secretly licks his bowl clean while doubling as her bodyguard; and the pampered lady of the shelter gets hooked on milk tea and orders delivery every day... Easygoing chef Lin Xia just wants to sell boxed meals and stay alive, but before she knows it, her glowing dishes are healing wounds, driving away despair, making the villains drool, and turning the terrifying apocalypse into a foodie's must-visit destination! Healing? That was purely accidental! She really just wants to fill her own stomach, and maybe feed this crumbling world while she's at it.
After reading eight chapters, I feel like this is an outline of a novel about living on food in the apocalypse. My patience is exhausted.
