Descent and Redemption: The Zijin Conspiracy
A City Besieged by Power: Beneath the Glamour Lies an Abyss!
At the summit of Zijin Mountain, inside Qiyun Garden, a world of wine and neon lights conceals the filthiest dealings. This is a fortress of the powerful, where money, beauty, and power come together, weaving a vast web that swallows the light.
Liu Yan was a drifting soul dragged into a life of vice by fate. Long ago, she learned to sink numb and unfeeling into the mire of power and greed. She moved among corrupt officials, a refined plaything in their eyes and the quietest witness to their world. She had seen too much ugliness beneath their respectable façades, and had long since lost hope in the so-called light.
A sudden storm of anti-corruption is sweeping in with the force of thunder. The gears of fate turn quietly, and a man codenamed Falcon, undercover police officer Lin Feng, enters Liu Yan's stagnant world, carrying a mission and a glimmer of hope.
When Liu Yan discovers a cold listening device in a hidden corner, and Lin Feng's sharp, knife-like gaze pierces the indifference she's so carefully put on, a silent thunderclap explodes in her heart! Will she remain a pawn at the mercy of others in this fortress, or seize the one blade that might tear through the darkness?
From being dragged into the fray to striking back of her own accord! Liu Yan and Lin Feng, two souls fate has cast into the deepest reaches of this fortress, dance on the edge of a knife. They tread the line between life and death, gather evidence beneath lavish banquets, and unleash a storm of public opinion across the internet! The plaything of yesterday is transforming into the deadly blade aimed straight at the heart!
This is the ultimate showdown between desire and redemption: using themselves as pieces on the board and the written word as a blade, they ignite an anti-corruption earthquake that shakes Zijin Mountain!
Tear down the fortress, and the light will shine through at last!
