Using the shell of Journey to the West, I write about the love, loss, struggle and compromise of all idealists in the world. This is not only a journey to the west, but also a grand sacrifice - everyone sacrifices what they cherish most in exchange for a false other side. They are each other's ferrymen, crossing thousands of rivers and mountains, but in the end they find that the River of Forgetfulness is at their feet, and the way forward and the way out are both empty.
