Tongren National No. 3 Middle School, known at the time as Guizhou Middle School, was founded in April 1938 and operated until June 1946, a total of eight years. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, it took in patriotic teachers and students displaced by the war, nurtured talent for the nation, and advanced education and culture in Tongren. Many students and teachers came from occupied areas. Even amid a country shattered by war, they strove tirelessly, maintaining first-rate teaching standards and ranking at the top among comparable schools in national examinations. They never forgot the humiliation suffered by their country and actively joined the resistance and national salvation movement; some devoted their lives to the cause of progress. Students and teachers who came through the school later became pillars of the nation, experts, entrepreneurs, and more, spreading their influence far and wide. This book is published to commemorate history, making it a meaningful work.
