Like a rising tide, fate suddenly swept them back into each other’s lives years later. Lin Yu wields a scalpel, composed and restrained, yet with turmoil raging in his heart. Su Mo lives by his paintbrush, sunny and bright, yet hiding a deep loneliness. Their old wounds have yet to heal. Unresolved resentment and love that never died collide fiercely in the undercurrents of their reunion. They try to draw a line between themselves with the reason and worldly wisdom of adults, but cannot resist the pull in the depths of their souls, tempered by time yet never truly gone.
This is a difficult journey to discover whether a broken mirror can be made whole again. They must push through the brambles of misunderstanding, face the pain and regrets of the past, and learn to communicate, understand, and accept one another as adults. When a new crisis arrives, will they instinctively retreat once more, or find the courage to gather up the scattered fragments of light with their scarred hands and piece together a future of their own, cracked yet stronger than before?
Island Meets Tide is an ensemble novel, with no absolute male lead in the strictest sense. This introduction covers only part of the story. No character exists merely to make another shine.
This story grew from an idle idea. It has two male leads. There’s no need to scrutinize the professions or specialist knowledge too closely; they’re just there to serve the plot.
The main characters aren’t perfect, and each has their own selfish motives. Feel free to criticize the characters, but please don’t criticize the author.
Thank you.
