Fallen Rainbow

A classic old-school romance, written to indulge the author's little quirks. I'm no good at writing introductions, so if you clicked, it must be fate. Welcome!

[School life first, then city life + 1v1 sweet romance (with a little angst in the middle) + mutual devotion + growing together + willing to give in for love]

He Lan Xu is the sole legal heir to a multinational conglomerate. His parents' deaths left him gloomy and cold, yet he remains the unattainable moon in the sky to countless people.

Yu Xuanhe comes from a small county town. As a member of the third Seed Program cohort, she's cheerful, optimistic, clever, and ambitious. Alone, she ventures into Jiade High School, where the children of the powerful gather.

All she wants is to spend her final year of high school peacefully in the international division and get into one of the world's top archaeology programs.

But a hair clip, a mining disaster buried in the past, and a sum of seventy million yuan force two people from entirely different worlds together.

They were never meant to have a future.

Seven years later, after returning from abroad, she strolls down the street chatting and laughing with a colleague. She looks up, and there on the giant screen across the way, He Lan Xu's business interview is playing on repeat.

The elegant, refined business magnate on screen makes her colleague's eyes light up. “He's the very image of an untouchable moon! Whoever can win him over, I'll gladly chip in for the wedding gift!”

Yu Xuanhe scoffs. “Try taking the mystique out of capitalists. They're the best at playing with people's hearts.”

Before she can finish, a familiar voice sounds right beside her ear: “So, Teacher Yu, was abandoning me back then part of your experiment in demystifying capitalists?”

Long fingers suddenly clamp around her wrist. Seven years of sharpened edge glints in his eyes. “It's a shame I never learned how to let go. All I can do is... try even harder to make you mine.”

She had no interest in the moon, so why did the moon insist on tempting her?

I hope you'll enjoy this story. Your support motivates me to write, and I'll do my best to tell every story well!
