The harem is in turmoil, and four phoenixes join forces to fight!
During the Yongzheng era, the Forbidden City seems dazzlingly prosperous on the surface, but beneath it, undercurrents run deep. Four princesses with very different personalities, Wenyi, Longyue, Lingxi, and Jinghe, are drawn into the vortex of palace intrigue during a coming-of-age banquet.
Wenyi, the dignified and elegant eldest princess, is unrivaled in music, yet the Empress's machinations force her into an arranged marriage with the arrogant son of a general;
Longyue, a bold and spirited daughter of a military family, is skilled in martial arts, yet is repeatedly mocked for “not acting like a princess”;
Lingxi, a brilliant and cunning young woman with a gift for poetry, is learned in literature, yet becomes a target for everyone because she is too sharp;
Jinghe, a cool-headed doctor with superb medical skills and a meticulous mind, is targeted for assassination after discovering the Empress's secret poisoning plot.
