Back to Field: An Invincible Big Shot Wreaks Havoc on Variety Shows

In a parallel world, Back to Field has already had many seasons, and this new season is considered its worst start yet. Ratings are on the verge of being cut in half, sponsors are pulling out, public opinion is in the gutter, and the production team is in disarray. The director’s team has been replaced again and again, trapping the show in a vicious cycle.

It was originally built around “slow living” and “self-sufficiency,” but now the format is rigid, the tasks tedious, and the guests half-hearted. Staged scenes and scripted moments are everywhere, leaving viewers bored stiff.

Lin Zhou’s arrival breaks the deadlock. Drawing on the experience and insight he gained in his previous life, he rallies the team and transforms the show’s style, making it funny, relaxed, full of surprises, and more authentic. On the show, Lin Zhou is the planner, the “mood-maker,” the “skills expert,” and the “resident heckler.” He even occasionally fills in as a “temporary guest.” With his incredible talent and absurd antics, he quickly grabs the attention of a huge audience.
