Love Lost, Love Found

This novel tells history through emotion and could be called a modern-day Dream of the Red Chamber. I dedicate it to all those living in the same era as this novel, and to their descendants.

The novel follows the tangled emotional relationships between its protagonist, Long Tianxiang, and the many people around him. It turns the family bonds, friendships, and romantic love of the human world into an extraordinary tale that defies time and borders, with bizarre twists, turbulent emotions, complicated affairs of the heart, and strange desires. It portrays the joys and sorrows of life and death, and of returning from death, while probing the good and evil, beauty and ugliness, love and hate, affection and resentment, closeness and distance, joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain within human nature and its emotional ethics. It also reflects how people from different social strata, born in the early 1950s, and descendants of the Qing dynasty struggled against fate and the tides of their times, sharing the fortunes of the Republic. This sweeping, half-century historical portrait is stirring, soul-shaking, and deeply moving.

I hope everyone enjoys it. Your support is what keeps me writing.
