I’m Lin Tao, a “dog pusher” at a scam compound in northern Myanmar. Every day I stare at my phone, scamming the people closest to me and funneling their money into underground accounts. I watch the numbers in their “accounts” grow, while their real money has long since been laundered across the border.
I scammed my friends, my family, and even myself.
There’s no brotherhood or passion here, only filthy “stability rooms,” a cold-blooded money-laundering chain, and scripts for scams precise enough to be teaching materials.
I once thought I could get out unscathed.
But then I understood:
Here, a conscience is worth only a 300-yuan performance bonus.
And every one of us was never a “person” to begin with.
This isn’t a wish-fulfillment story. It’s about living people being crushed into tools. I’m writing it for you, and for everyone who was scammed and can never go back to the way things were.
